As he finalizes the release of his new album "333", $HA returns with a new music video to accompany his single "No Grills, No Fronts (The Warm Up)". Produced by Grammy nominated Daniel Worthy, $HA shares insight on the process.
"I made this song in 20 minutes and it happened very organically. Daniel Worthy sent me a package of beats, and this was like the second one I listened to. I just did this off the top and recorded myself. The video is a performance of myself, that was freestyled, my homies KWU came to check me, heard the song and then started shooting."
If you’re in Toronto, you can catch $ha opening for Skepta on May 6th at the Danforth Music Hall.
After gaining momentum following a shoutout from Drake on "Energy" and "Know Yourself" (If You're Reading This It's Too Late), Reps Up/OVO affiliate WHOA is taking on the Toronto music scene with two new tracks.
An original track titled THREE THIRTY THREE features production from BatmanOnTheBeatz and STRETCH.
The second offering is a freestyle remix of MADEINTYO's UBER Everywhere titled "Shooters Everywhere". In this sinister rendition of the song, WHOA makes his visions clear and even takes shots at the "New Toronto" over K Swisha's catchy production.
I recently had the opportunity to shoot WHOA in studio. Stay tuned for more in 2016.
The new single off his forthcoming project titled 333 features production by Ashley Scott, BatmanOnTheBeatz and the recently Grammy nominated, Daniel Worthy. Worthy was nominated for his work with Drake on the track 'Star 67' (If You're Reading This It's Too Late). The track was mixed by Stretch.
$HA, originally from Toronto (Scarborough), acts as a powerful influence in the Toronto music scene. While the city has become a powerful network hub for artists and creatives alike, expect to be hearing this track bumping heavy as the city heats up and prepares for Spring/Summer 2016.
I've had this track on replay since my friend Victoria showed me some of the cool new music she's been listening to. She's definitely one of my to go's when it comes to good music and always has suggestions that are usually based on mood. SO groovy.
I forgot how totally inlove I was with the song Rather Be by Clean Bandit, an electronic group from the UK. After watching several of their videos, I can't get enough. If you're wondering what i'll be listening to going in to the new year, here you have it.
DJ EARWORM kills it once again with his mash-up of the Top 50 songs of the year. 2015 was such a fun year for music and so many artists have transformed their sound and stepped outside of the lines in terms of marketing, video content and touring.
I have to give a special shoutout to The Weeknd because he fucking slayed 2015!!!!! #proud
