I had the exciting opportunity of covering the re-launch of Friday Night Live at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto this past Friday and would definitely encourage any locals to get out one Friday to attend.

Now in its 10th season, the FNL at the ROM event takes place every Friday from Sept. 30 until Nov. 25, 2016, and the themes for the evening vary by week. While the re-launch theme was Spark, ticket holders can expect to see the space transformed to represent different showcases, including Thanks Canada (Oct. 7th), Goosebumps (Oct. 28th) and Afterglow (Nov. 25th).

As guests made their way through the museum, almost all of the exhibits were accessible, but it was Dale Chihuly’s showcase of hand blown glass sculptures that stole the show.

Dale Chihuly is an American sculptor whose work is included in more than 200 collections worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Corning Museum of Glass.

The exhibition at the ROM is Chihuly’s first major exhibit in Toronto and will be on display until January 2nd, 2017. Details and ticket information for Friday Night Live at the ROM can be found online. This is a 19+ event.
